Project coordinator: University of Craiova – Romania

University of Craiova is a Romanian prestigious institution of higher education, part of the European academic community, sharing cultural values, moral, educational and scientific aspects of it. Since its founding, in 1947, University of Craiova has undertaken the mission to contribute to the development of knowledge, science and national culture, their integration into the universal patrimony. Acceptance of competition and participation in the exchange of values allowed build up of a valuable teaching staff, competent trainer and generous scientific and cultural elites, currently consisting of over 1,000 teachers. Throughout its existence, the University of Craiova has evolved into a complex structure, which now includes 10 Faculties and 2 independent Departments. The educational offer includes 47 license areas, with 85 study programs, and 42 master’s programs with 84 study programs. The offer continues with Doctoral Schools for each faculty, preparing more than 200 PhD students. University of Craiova provide to all of its over 20,000 students excellent education at all levels. University of Craiova has appropriate expertise in steel structures, organizing specific license study programs related to civil engineering, mechanical engineering, welding engineering as well as material science. It is involved in international projects in the topic of the project proposal such as: H2020 – PROMINENT; NATO SPS – ARMPROT, ERASMUS+ – LOGIN, DIGIMAN, IWTCOMP, COMPETING; DTP – EDUMARKT; SEE – HINT, NELI; EEA – NAVICAD, LLP-GRUNDTWIG.

European Federation for Welding, Joining and Cutting (EWF) – Belgium

European Federation for Welding, Joining and Cutting (EWF) is an international non-profit umbrella association aiming at the collaboration in the study and solution of welding-related problems encountered within its fields of competence and in the removal of technical barriers. The exchange of scientific and technical information, the preparation of harmonised rules for the education and training of personnel involved in welding, joining and related technologies.

Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) – Portugal

Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) is the largest and most reputed school of Engineering, Science and Technology in Portugal. Since its creation in 1911, IST’s mission is to contribute to the development of society by providing top quality higher education, at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as developing Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) activities to allow it to provide teaching in line with the highest international standards.

IST is involved with some of the most prestigious RD&I and technology transfer institutions in Portugal, with remarkable impact internationally in many scientific and technological domains. Internationalization has been defined as a key strategic goal over the past few years with increasing number of international students and staff as well as an increasing participation in international academic networks and establishment of several double degree programs in both MSc and PhD levels. This way, IST contributes to the development of the students’ educational level, offering them several opportunities to participate in international research networks, approaching scientific cooperation and multicultural experience, and motivating innovation and entrepreneurship.

University of Ljubljana – Slovenia

University of Ljubljana is the oldest and largest higher education and scientific research institution in Slovenia established in 1919. It has approximately 40,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students and employs approximately 6,000 higher education teachers, researchers, assistants and administrative staff in 23 faculties and three arts academies.
The University of Ljubljana is renowned for its quality social and natural sciences and technical study programmes, structured in accordance with the Bologna Declaration. Our projects keep pace with the latest developments in the areas of arts, sciences and technology at home and abroad.

Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FME) is a member of UL. It has around 2250 students and 334 employees in 17 Chairs and two divisions. It has 44 laboratories. Approximately 118 employees are engaged in R&D. Turnover of FME is 19.8 M€, while R&D dedicated turnover is 10.2 M€. FME is involved in more than 40 projects (H2020, Erasmus+, ERA NET, ERDF etc) in addition to other R&D and educational national and international projects. Laboratory for Welding (LAVAR) is focused on R&D and education on the field of Welding and Joining of different materials (weldability of metals and non-metals) using different joining technologies, additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping, thermal cutting as well as manufacturing and assembling technologies, and testing of materials (destructive and non-destructive testing).

Danmar Computers – Poland

Danmar Computers LLC is a private company operating in the field of Information Technology and providing vocational training in this field. Danmar has extensive experience in developing modern Web and mobile applications that are used for educational purposes. Danmar also has long-term experience of carrying out European projects within which the company’s R&D staff conducts research and prepares training tailored to the needs of various learners. During 22 years, Danmar has successfully implemented over 100 projects within Grundtvig, Leonardo da Vinci, Progress and Erasmus+. In many of these projects, Danmar was responsible for designing and coordinating dissemination strategies.
Danmar Computers is the developer and provider of AdminProject, the online system for the management of European projects. All activities of the company are based on wide and well-established cooperation network, both on national and international levels. The national networks include training and counselling institutions, universities, schools, non-governmental organizations as well as private sector companies.
